Health & Safety
Important health notice
Please read the following warnings before playing Veles: Rise of the Damned. If you have any concerns, consult a medical professional before playing.
Notice
Veles: Rise of the Damned contains fast-paced action, rapidly flashing lights, and intense visual effects. The warnings below apply to all players and are especially important for those with known medical sensitivities. This page does not replace professional medical advice.
Epilepsy & Seizures
Photosensitive epilepsy warning
A very small percentage of people may experience epileptic seizures when exposed to certain flashing lights or light patterns. Even people with no prior history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these episodes.
If you or a family member have a history of epilepsy or seizures, consult a doctor before playing. Stop immediately and seek medical help if you experience symptoms such as dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, or convulsions.
Flashing Lights
Strobing and visual effects
This game contains rapidly flashing lights, high-contrast strobing sequences, and intense particle effects during combat, ability use, and level transitions.
If you are sensitive to flashing or flickering visuals, take regular breaks and reduce screen brightness. Stop playing if you feel discomfort, eye strain, or nausea. These effects occur throughout normal gameplay and cannot be disabled.
Motion Sickness
Camera motion and discomfort
Veles: Rise of the Damned involves fast camera movement, screen shake during impacts, and rapid directional changes. These elements may cause discomfort, dizziness, or nausea in some players.
If you experience any of these symptoms, take a break from playing. Playing in a well-lit room, maintaining a comfortable viewing distance, and limiting session length may help reduce symptoms.
