Choose, inspect, and commit

The tavern is the between-run hero hub. It shows hero selection, paragon progress, ultimate details, class bonuses, career stats, and the combat numbers that matter before the next descent.

Hero stats show the numbers behind each build: attributes, combat values, progression bonuses, gear contributions, and the details that help decide who is ready for the next descent.

Ascension

A board for mastered heroes

Ascension unlocks after Paragon 10 and turns gold plus rare organs into permanent passive power. Global nodes help every hero, while hero-specific paths reward long-term mastery.

Hero Progression

Level during the run, grow between runs

Heroes gain power inside a run through experience, ability upgrades, and temporary choices. After the run, persistent hero progression carries forward through paragon levels, class bonuses, gear, and account-wide systems.

Paragon

Paragon level is long-term mastery

Paragon level is the hero's between-run progression. It feeds systems like ultimate scaling: each paragon level above 1 reduces ultimate fill time by 5 seconds, down to a 30 second minimum. Current ultimate item cooldown reduction is capped at 70%.

Ultimates

Every hero has a signature power

The ultimate bar starts from a 120 second base fill time. Woodsworn, Spellblade, Nightreaver, Lightbearer, and Bonebreaker each use a different ultimate pattern; Bonebreaker auto-activates when ready, while the others let the player choose the moment.

Ascension

Reach Paragon 10 to unlock the board

Ascension unlocks account-wide when any hero reaches Paragon 10. The board contains global nodes for all heroes and hero-specific nodes for mastered heroes, purchased with gold and organs. Nodes become passive stat sources that rebuild into the same stat system as gear.
